What Architecture is Socially Important?

The Progression of Architecture and what is Considered Socially Important in our Spaces
I have explored how architecture has progressed over time in Wellington and how it fills up space. I specifically looked at the Victorian and Edwardian, Art Deco, and Modernism eras of architecture. My idea is to look into the social constructs around aged to contemporary buildings. People tend to find aged buildings (Victorian and Edwardian & Art Deco) buildings unique, interesting and valuable in comparison to tall modern skyscrapers that typically have little meaning. I have chosen this topic as I believe that older buildings are such an essential part of Wellington and its culture, which should be valued.
